writing This Blog is easy
easiest thing I've ever done
with respect to Writing
well
maybe not the easiest
college was pretty much a short staircase in running shoes
the way I designed it
majoring in writing
the thing that comes most easily

College
a few years lived in the Real
no difference between the two
I've noticed
even though I can't change the fact
I spent a lot of time
in college

use the time wisely
or sit in one place
while who-knows-what changes
from day one
to right now

a lot of the Smartest People I know never went to college
or are going now
some years after the pack
they're the ones I respect more than myself
in some ways
because I went before I was ready
to appreciate the Gift and
Respect
the past
the future
the now

one thing Young People do not understand
I'm not excluded
is the wisdom of Old People
lots of Life equals
lots of Experience equals
lots of Knowledge equals
lots of Understanding equals
Intensity of
hilarity
bitterness
timidness
kindness
creativity

Old People
honestly

really young
really Real
really old
really Real
really in the middle
really

returning a point
to itself
without lifting the pen from the paper
and trying to keep the Circle
perfect
remembering that
only in geometry class
does a circle
need to be the same distance
from the Center
at every point

that's the middle
the pen and the paper still making the circle

Writing
the best therapy
the harshest lover
the act
clarifies
frustrates
exposes
corrupts
solidifies
opens
concludes
the Place you go
when it's you
talking to you
no censor
that's Creativity's address
She never leaves home or
forces you to visit
even though
She's got nothing better to do
than
shoot the shit
with you
for an hour
or twelve

today
I'm experimenting more than I did yesterday
allowing What comes
to come
as It comes
but I'm not perfect
yet
and I struggle to let It happen when
I know that It could be so different
before I know what
It
is

and Here is the brilliance of writing
saying something about one subject
and then
immediately realizing how It applies to
so much more

form is important
necessary
at least in the system I call home
the show-me/show-you system
show the reader my real
and wait for you to show me yours
